Kitchen Aid Mixer

Kitchen Aid Mixer

Best Mom Kitchen Mixer

I'm nominating the Kitchen Aid Classic Stand Mixer as a Best Mom idea for the kitchen.

Why the Kitchen Aid Mixer?

I’m not a huge baker, mainly because I’m the only person in my family that enjoys sweets, but I do love my Kitchen Aid Mixer!  I use it to make homemade bread mostly.  I have used it to make a couple sweet treats.  My most favorite trick that the Kitchen Aid Mixer does is shred chicken!  I use shredded chicken in so many recipes, and now I can shred five pounds of chicken in five minutes without getting my hands dirty.  (Cook your chicken, then place the chicken in the Mixer with the claw hook attachment, then slowly start turning the Mixer up until your chicken is as fine as you would like.)  The Kitchen Aid Mixer has many attachments for those more advanced than I am.  One day I might venture into grinding my own wheat for bread, and then I will need the grinder attachment, but for now I’m just proud that I make my own bread.

Cost

The Kitchen Aid Classic Stand Mixer costs around $220 new on Amazon.  It has a 4.7 star rating with over 650 reviews.  This is the Kitchen Aid Mixer that I have.  It comes in a variety of colors and includes the coated flat beater, coated dough hook, wire whip, and 4.5 quart bowl.  It also includes a one year warranty.

There are more advanced Mixers if you are an avid baker like the Artisan Series or the Professional Series.  The Artisan Series Mixer is a step above the Classic Series.  It has a 4.7 star rating with over 6,000 reviews.  It comes with a larger bowl with a handle and a pouring shield.  The Professional Series has a 4.3 star rating with over 3,500 reviews.

Is the Kitchen Aid Mixer worth the money?

If you are a baker or plan to become one then I think the Kitchen Aid Mixer is worth the money.  It depends on how much baking you do and how much money you would like to spend as to which Kitchen Aid Mixer would be right for you.  Since I only use my Mixer occasionally, I went with the Classic Series.  It has worked wonderfully for making bread, shredding chicken, making cheesecake, and making cookies.

Summary

The Kitchen Aid Mixer is a wonderful tool to have in your kitchen if you are a baker!

There are a ton of attachments to the KitchenAid mixer and I'm sure it can do a bunch more, check out the mixer and attachments at Amazon.
